A perfect and easy-in-use Cad system
With Tensor you can make your 2D-techical drawings in a fast and easy manner. Again, simplicity is the strong point that makes Tensor Cad worthwhile. Dimensioning with tolerances, hatching linethickness etc. the user can set his preferences.
As Tensor is a 100% Windows™ application, data and information from other Window application can be exchanged using the OLE-principle. Therefore Tensor is a perfect tool to produce technical manuals or libraries for technical parts.
Sketching, no complex dialogboxes
The picture left will show that the user sketches the required geometry. Only sketch values need to be entered and selecting elements is not required, not even for example when filleting corners. This because the principle of drawing with Tensor is based on direction and order of elements. This principle results in a strong diminishing of actions the user needs to make when drawing.
Integrate with other applications
Tensor is the perfect tool to make technical manuals, catalogues or to send a fax to your customer with a picture of the part you have some questions about to ask. In Tensor geometry can be copied to the Windows™ clipboard and be pasted it into for example Word™ and Excel™. By doubleclicking on a picture in a Word document Tensor will open the drawing so changes can be made and then saved. Of course Word and Excel –objects can be inserted into a Tensor drawing, so the OLE-principle works both ways. For example, by using Corel Trace™ a logo can be converted into lines within Tensor. This means you can convert bitmaps into CNC-code.
Parametrize standard parts
With Tensor you can strongly automate designing your parts. By using the Tensor script language you can make calculations, automatic Bill of Material generation and standard part libraries. For example a library can be made for a profile with variable dimensions.
Import and export files
DXF and IGES files are imported by Tensor without any problems. The IGES-translator is based on the IGES 3.5 format. Solids and surfaces from 3D models are being converted into a wireframe-model. Look at the picture left. This saves a lot of time when generating a CNC-program of the 3D-model. Also Tensor can output DXF and IGES files.
