All standard lathe cycles like G71,G72,G73… etc are fully reco-gnized and will be simulated. Canned cycles like drilling cycles G73,G81,G82 etc.. as well as many Heiden-hain cycles are all being simulated by Tensor NC Simulator.
Subprograms- and lable recognition
Tensor NC Simulator is able to recognize references to subprograms and execute them as such. Subprograms (O009) with call M98 P009 and number of repeats(L3) are recognized. The lable definition in Heidenhain LBL is perfectly simulated.
If the tool enters the material in a rapid movement a warning will be given.
The cursor will stop in the NC-line where the collision is detected so the user can directly adjust the program and rerun the simulation. If the tool cuts deeper than the cuttingheight of the tool Tensor NC Simulator will also give out a warning. With this option you can save your tools and parts and prevent loss of time while machining.
When simulating an NC program not generated by Tensor Cad/Cam the user will be asked to define each tool which is recognized in the program by Tensor NC Simulator. These values can be selected out a of a predefined tool library with several type of tools. For example Flat End Mill, Bull End Mill and Center Drill etc. are available types. By adding dimensions to the tools(diameter.length etc.) Tensor NC Simulator will now know what material is being removed during machining.
Machining Time Calculation
